The PES society and WIE Affinity Group of IEEE SCT SB combined, conducted ‘du coeur’-an online essay writing competition to celebrate WIE week and Graham Bell’s 173rd birthday.
The following were the topics from which the participant had to choose one to write upon.
1.Women breaking the patriarchy in profession.
2.Cyber bullying: Is she safe in the cyber space?
3.Impact of mobile phones in current generation.

With a word limit of 250, the participants had to send in their entries via a google form. From a total
of 14 participants (7 IEEE members and 7 non-IEEE members), Govind S Nath of T4 A attained the
first place, Arundathi Krishna of T4 A bagged the second place and Kavya Sathish Kumar of T4 B
achieved the third place.
